As you know, India is my second homeland, a country with fascinating cultures to which I owe a lot. But also a country with many distressing cases of abuse. One of them is the lawlessness in the tribal areas and especially the children who suffer from it. Time to put my shoulders to it, I thought a few years ago. The initiative which I am supporting is a children's home in the south of India. It is run by a good friend of mine Thambi Mulupuri.
The name of the home is Share Kids Home
and it is located in Eluru, Andra Pradesh, South India. It is a non-profit organization founded (in 1991) by Thambi Mulupuri under the charitable organization 'Self Help & Rural Educational Society'. The organization is officially registered and complies with all government regulations.
The small-scale orphanage currently houses 18 children, 15 girls and 3 boys, all between 6 and 17 years old. Their names are: Charisha, Anusha, Pranavi, Charanya, Joshmitha, Tejeshwani, Ravi, Akil, Akash Mangaveni, Nandini, Indu, Sravani, Renuka, Mariamma, Ramya and Jyothimahita.
Sharekidshome offers these children a warm and loving home, quality education both in Telugu and English, clothing, quality food, a safe haven and opportunities for the future.
The children are very aware of this opportunity. What is so incredibly beautiful is that they seize this opportunity with everything they have in them. School fatigue here is a concept coming from a totally different universe.
And, they have plans, big plans with their lives. What they experience now, they want to give back in their adult lives to the community where their roots lie. One wants to become a lawyer, another wants to become a doctor, another one wants to become a social worker, and so on. One does this to fight injustice and the other just to be of service.
We want to support them in fulfilling this mission. We strive for this children's home to be supported by a broad international family. If there are enough of us, little bits and pieces can ensure that they can make their grand dreams come true. And not only for them, there are so many other children we have to refuse now.
The monthly cost for their livelihood and education is about 900 euros. At the moment, almost every month we have to make ends meet. After all, the home is completely dependent on donations. In India there is no government funding for these initiatives. So all help is welcome to make their plans come true!
Imagine what it feels like to have helped one child leading a better life and give shape to his or her dream. As I'm used to say: "The only happiness that lasts is the happiness that giving brings".
Detailed information about the specific needs of the orphanage can always be obtained through Thambi Mulupuri and myself. I personally guarantee the honesty with which donations are handled. I can also guarantee that all money goes to the orphanage. Nowhere does money stick to the hands of an intermediary organization or intermediate person.
Would you like to volunteer for a few weeks or months, this is also possible after an intake interview.
More information on how to make a donation can be found on the website

I cordially invite you to support and realize the plans of these children together with us!
Warm greetings,
Peter
